3A – Your Entrepreneurship Story
My parents first introduced me to entrepreneurship, my mother was a tax preparer and my father sold used cars. They both made me realize first hand that entrepreneurship is a 24/7 job and not as something that can give much more free time than having a full-time job as an employee. I remember I used to hate it when my parents would have hourlong business phone calls when we were supposed to be on vacation or having dinner. Now, as an adult, I act the same way. As an entrepreneur, your business IS your life so it's very hard to try to have a work/life balance that being an employee would offer. I am very glad that I learned early on that hard work is apart of being an entrepreneur and that there are really no breaks.

Hello Lillian, I share a similar entrepreneur exposure to your father selling used cars. One of my uncle works in San Jose, California and buys cars with a salvage title. He then repairs it and sells them for profit. He spends very long hours to fix the car to a working condition and make them cool appealing. On top of that, he must find customers, negotiate a price, and sell them on top of his work. I agree that entrepreneurship is a daily job and one can be very consumed with their job especially if they are passionate about their work.
