Assignment 18A – Create a Customer Avatar
She lives in Miami, one of the top cities with the most Millenials, with her parents. She is 26 years old and a business graduate from the University of Miami. She is just beginning to get real work experience in the corporate world and she realizes that she doesn't want to climb up the corporate ladder for the next few decades. She works 60 hours a week as a sales representative for health products. She enjoys practicing the art of persuasion and working closely with other people. However, she hates working so many hours, having to report to someone, and having a set schedule. She is a dedicated life long learner but her job doesn't allow her much time to learn new skills so she begins to feel stagnant and unmotivated. She has a burning desire to create something of her own that will allow her to pursue her interests anytime she wants.
She is money conscious and drives an old Nissan Altima. She isn't born to wealthy parents so she is worried about saving enough money to move out and how she will make her dreams come true. Even though, she is comfortable and has a guaranteed income for the next few years she is constantly worrying about pursuing something that gives her meaning in life and makes her happy.
During her off-hours, she spends countless hours researching how she can substitute her full-time income doing something that doesn't require 60+ hours a week so that she can have more time dedicated to doing the things that she wants to do. She is committed and is willing to do anything to be able to substitute her income.
What do I have in common with her?
I am also a millennial who worked in the corporate world and I realized that I don't want to climb the corporate ladder, like her I am always looking for ways to bring in a flow of income that isn't from a job. I don't think this is a coincidence because Millenials, in general, are more interested in finding meaningful work.

Your avatar possesses a trait that many people have. Many people I have met share your avatar's dislike for working for a "boss" and depending on salary to make a living. These people also happen to want to become independent when trying to make a living, such as a business start-up or doing unconventional jobs. I, too, believe that it is important to always consider alternative ways to achieve your desires and dreams, as the "normal" way isn't always the optimal.
